School Committee 

"As a member of the School Committee, the first thing I learned is the power of a group of passionate people working toward a common goal.  I have always voted to give the district the tools necessary to give students what they need to thrive. Just like the other members of the School Committee, my goal has been to provide our students the springboard to leadership and success, and I am proud of what we have been able to accomplish."

  • Construction of new Science labs at the High school, new classrooms at NSES, and updates of the High school locker rooms.

  • Decommissioning of the structurally unsafe Halliwell School.

  • New uniforms for student athletes.

  • Strong advocacy for a safe return to school during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially students with IEPs and 504s.

  • Putting Chromebooks in the hands of our students to give them another tool as 21st century students.

  • Negotiated fair transportation contracts.

  • Negotiated fair Support Staff contracts.

  • Negotiated fair Teacher contracts.

  • Created Math & Reading Interventionist roles.

  • Creation of Pathway programs and Career & Technical Education programs.  Programs include Business, pre-Engineering, and Allied Health, and are designed to prepare students for success no matter what post-secondary direction they choose to go.

  • Advocated for and gave new voice to student extracurriculars such as We the People; DECA, and more.
